True to size, thick, soft, and warm. We live on the east coast and these are great for outside play during the winter here. My child is tall and lanky and we've struggled in the past to find winter pants that are long enough but not too loose (he's 7 but wears 5T shorts) and these actually work, thanks to the functioning drawstring. After having him wear one pair for several days, I went back and ordered several more.

Bought these for my son who generally wears a extra small to small in men's. 28x30 5 ft 5 in 105 lb. The main thing I was worried about was the crotch, since he is a man but he's so scrawny that men's sizes seem to overwhelm him when only in small medium large etc. Based on one of the previous reviews, I decided to try the boys size 18. They fit perfectly on his skinny frame. The crotch area turned out not to be a problem. I am ordering extra colors.
