We've purchased countless outdoor umbrellas that didn't survive, breaking spokes, fabric tears, and literally flying out of the umbrella stand even after being tightened. This umbrella has withstood a great deal of inclement weather in Arizona, including heat, wind, and thunderstorms, etc. The only reason we ended up purchasing a second one was the microburst this umbrella encountered last month. Our reality is our next overhead covering, that is BETTER THAN THIS UNBRELLA, is a permanent structure
