I got these boots because my dog is small and small dogs' feet tend to freeze fast when they go out in the snow. I've looked at other boots but these really caught my eye. They have a zipper up the back and a Velcro strap so you can pull them snuggly around the dogs' ankles so the boots stay on. It's easy to put the dogs' foot in the boot without using the zipper but it's best to use it so you can position the foot better. I am SO glad I got them for my dog. She did the funny walk when I put them on her the first time, but if you follow the directions on the boots and leave them on the dog for 20 minutes that first day it helps the dog adjust to wearing them besides helping the boots to form properly on the dog. My dog walks like a little pro in them now. Snow on the ground? No problem. She's ready for her boots.
