Midea Flexify™ French Door Toaster Oven Air Fryer Combo, 26.4 Qt, 10 Presets, Pizza Oven, Stainless Steel

I have now cooked most of the functions this has to offer. I am very pleased with performance .Highly recommend this. It is quiet and convection can be on or off in some of the functions. My only complaint is the tone it makes when finished is not very loud. If I am not going to be right in kitchen when it is done, I just use another timer with loud ring.

I went for 2 years with my small name-brand air fryer, and I was pretty happy, except that I couldn't cook the roasts that I love for leftovers all week. Well, this new Midea Flexify has taken care of that! My first beef roast in it was so tender and cooked perfectly because I could use my meat thermometer, whereas that wouldn't have worked in the little air fryer. I realize now that I wasn't as happy as I could have been with my original air fryer, because it was so small that most things just got cooked to death on the outside before they were ready on the inside. That is not a problem with my new Midea. The heat seems to be extremely consistent, and you can roast with or without the convection fan for a super nice slow roast. Better than a large oven, the smaller unit stays very evenly hot because of its size. I've air fried a few things, like sausage and chicken breasts, but I also love experimenting with the roast and bake and broil features that I didn't get with a small air fryer. I don't mind the stainless steel finish, but I realize that in my small kitchen a black unit might have receded better into the background. What I decided to do was to leave the unit on my counter for things that didn't take much cooking time, but I move the oven to my stove after taking off the burners so that the range hood fan dispels more of the heat and odors that accumulate during long cooks. In a small apartment, it's hard to get rid of cooking smells, so that worked well. I've seen reviews that say that the controls were hard to figure out and they had to read carefully, but I didn't have trouble figuring it out right away. The big knob just changes all the parameters for each of the smaller buttons. What I do wish is that it might have been lighted better, because it's hard to see the names for each button without external light. Certainly not a terrible drawback, but something I have seen in other reviews, is that the thinner baking pan tends to get discolored, either from the heat or from the drippings from a roast marinade perhaps. I looked very hard at many models before buying this one, because I just despised the cleanup on my little air fryer. I did not want non-stick coating, and I wanted stainless steel. I'm not saying that the Flexify is spatter free, but it's so easy to wipe down when it's almost cooled. I'll wipe the inside of the doors, the sides and the back every time I use it. I want to keep it looking nice and clean. Wire grid of the air frying pan isn't bad to clean if you have a good scrub brush. I can't find any fault big enough to make me reduce my review to four stars. Five are well deserved, Midea Flexify.
