Another Classic Jan Karon

Jan Karon needs no introduction as an author. Her Mitford series are well-known and I have loved unique way of making the reader and characters feel like small town neighbors . She is both memorable as an author and her characters are memorable long after the book last page has been read. There are laughs and lessons and truths about the Lord Jesus Timothy loves and heralds throughout the book. Some are obvious, some you dig for but all of them are to be stored as treasures. Every book can be read and re-read through the years and they breathe again. This latest book is no exception. I suspect it will be Jan's last, given, since she's in her eighties now. But ! Then again ---"Never Say Never." I commend, highly, this latest book and all her books .

This is to be a Christmas present. I only know of the plot and characters secondhand, but the author is a good one and I know the gift will be appreciated. I only wish I could have purchased it at the store without the hassle of ordering it on line.

Jan Karon is my favorite author. I love all her books. I feel as though I know where Mitford is located and I love all her characters. Somehow her writing touches my soul and I always feel uplifted when I finish reading. This book answered a lot of questions from the last book.I am so happy that she was able to continue to write again. I love it and will always recommend her work. Everyone should "Go to Mitford".
