I purchased this willingly some months ago as an aid to trying my hand at growing and starting plants from both start and seed in a new growing region after moving to Missouri for the first time. I was growing Basil from both purchased herb pot and from Basil seed, which I had never done before. Everything I used for them was purchased from Walmart.com and delivered. Pros - • Lightweight but sturdy, firm clamp with good quality cushioning • Good positioning and durability • Affordable, competitive price • Genuinely works - impressive light output for LEDs. Great control options. Timer flexibility is a huge plus. • Cord is nice and long. Cons - • Because it's LED, there's a power limitation that just isn't going to be good enough to beat real sunlight. I used it together with lots of natural access to summer sun in Missouri and they did much better with real sun. • Doesn't come with a power adapter • Works best for one plant - smaller radius for stronger light means the more you try to spread it out over larger plants the less of a beneficial effect you'll get. If you have large plants, wider areas, or multiple plants to get indoor lights for, you'll either want multiple of these, or stronger lights. The light worked best for helping get my seeds started on a warming mat, and for days when the summer storms denied my babies any sunlight. I used it as a buffer for poor weather, and will continue to try and see how it goes as the fall and winter comes by.
