Nicely padded. My Pom likes nesting in it. I just received it recently so I don't know how it will wash. It does just fit my Pomeranian snugly. If I had a larger Pom, like I used to have, it may have been a bit too small. It is a good little bed for the price, but I think my little Jasey still prefers my queen sized bed. LOL

Great dog beds
I bought two of the large bagel beds for my dogs: an 80lb English Lab and a 45lb Whippet mix. I was worried that the lab would be too big for the bed but she fits just fine when curled up. She falls out a little bit if she sprawls out, but she doesn't seem to mind at all. Both dogs love to prop their heads up on the edges of the bed, which is why I bought these. They are great beds and I would definitely buy them again in the future!

These beds are amazing!
I have 2 rottweilers a 5 month old and a 2 year old and I can't get them out of bed in the morning with these beds. I first ordered the 40" and had to return them for the large 52". My dogs are very active, they go everywhere with us. We just got back from the Rockies and their beds went in the RV with them. They can sprawl out in the larger size bed much better. Looks like they will wash great. They shed so I just take the vacuum brush and vacuum the hair off till there ready to be washed. They hold their shape nice and seem to keep the dogs very comfortable. I have looked a long time for good dog beds and these are worth the money. Hope they don't stop making these.
