excellent saw for pros light, durable and accurate

in my opinion there is no better saw, light and durable. but there is a mag 77 with 50 degree swing table. that saw is priced at 200. this particular saw sells at home improvement stores for 175. to 180. due to the limited swing capacity of 45 degrees. but excellent saw. but more bang for your buck elsewhere.

Great Saw

I bought this saw to replace a saw that I had had for over forty years that was stolen.  I was afraid that I could not get one as good. I have had this saw for only a short time but I think it is going to be as rock solid as the first one.  It cuts straight and true and seems to have good power.  It is heavy with the advantages and disadvantages associated with that.  The weight helps the saw cut smooth and track straight against a guide but at my age (74) it wares me out pretty quick.  The saw appears to be what I hoped it would be.

Ergonomic!

I switched from my dewalt circular saw to this wormdrive on the recommendation of a carpenter I know. He was right on every point. Sight lines are amazing with the left handed blade, the saw has more than enough power, I don't have the manually move the guard out the way like I used to for most cuts either. My only concern was the amount of sparks that come out of the bushings area when I use it. Seems a bit excessive and I hope this isn't indicative of something being improperly installed at the factory. As long as I keep checking them and they last a decent amount of time I will be happy though.
