Works very well.
First off, you need to know this heavy, 25 pounds heavy. Morton has been around forever, and this is coarse rock salt and works very well for melting ice as well as giving traction to both walking and tire traction. We used to put this in the back of my wife's Astro van to weight the back end down. Worked really well, plus it was always at hand if she needed it to throw under the rear tires. The bag does have a handle, which helps some. I don't have concrete, but I would think it would damage concrete if you used a lot. Keep a dedicated 2 cup measure with a handle to dip into the bag to make it easy to toss. It is irritating to paws. My dog has a fenced in area so he's away from the salt.

Great Stuff Morton Rock Salt.
First time using Morton Safe-T-Rock Salt and you can tell immediately that the quality is completely different than other ice melting products. No flying dust when transferring to a bucket. I still wore a dust mask because that's what I usually do. Bitter cold here right now and boro is not treating roads and I am at the base of a mountain so multiple times I looked like I was surfing down the side of my house. We have feral cats so I'm always concerned about their paws when it's icy if I use rock salt. No problems whatsoever. They travel up the side of my house and the ice was just brutal. This stuff melted everything perfectly %26 I was able to grip the black top without grabbing for walls, railings, fences. Love this stuff and I'll try to get it every time in the future. Seems to sell out fast.
