This cable is fantastic in every way that I needed. It's durably constructed, the connections fit snuggly into USB A and USB C ports, it's flexible, the coil has a great amount of 'spring' to it, allowing the cable to be stretched and then returned to its normal, compact length, it is a fast-charging cable, it works perfectly and quickly for data transfers between phone and PC, and it works perfectly with Android Auto when tested in a 2021 Toyota Tacoma. I appreciate that Startech.com is a Canadian-based company that is available to handle any questions or support matters via contact information readily available on their website. Inevitably, I would find reviews that mentioned "the cable ends melted and nearly caught on fire" (complete with pictures showing the melted ends), "the cable will not work reliably or at all with Android Auto", "the wires break and/or pull out of the cable ends", "the cable is NOT fast-charging capable", "the cable works great with Android Auto UNTIL I hit a bump and my phone disconnects due to poor/loose connections", "the coil is so loose that the cable doesn't retract to its relaxed state", "the coil is so tight and the connectors are so loose that the cable is constantly unplugging itself from my phone while driving", "the cable doesn't allow me to transfer data between my phone and my PC". I am not seeing any signs of any of the issues mentioned above occurring with this cable. If that should change, I will update this review. This cable costs a bit more than all those other cables I looked at, and I am confident that it costs more for a good reason - it is designed and made to a much higher quality standard than all those other cables. I learned a long time ago about the saying "Buy Once, Cry Once". In other words, I'm willing to pay more the first time when the quality is there as opposed to trying to go cheap and think I was going to save money, only to find out that the 'cheap' product failed, and I had to make a second purchase to replace it. This usually meant that I ended up spending more for multiple purchases instead of just buying quality the first time. By the way, I paid full price for this cable through an online retailer, I have no association with StarTech.com, and I received no incentive to review this product. I rarely write product reviews, but I was compelled to write this one because of my experience looking for, and having a tough time, finding a quality USB A to USB C coiled cable. Thank you StarTech for a quality product that I hope to get years of use out of.
