Rp 251, Take the plunge and get on with it.

I was really on the fence about making this purchase. I see the value in the ease and speed of making solder less connections. But the fact remains it comes with cost. The tool is expensive and the fittings aren't cheap either. I have researched this topic to death pros and cons of soldering vs pressing and I still have a place and practical use for soldering. I do feel that the 251 tool is the best all rounder for general work. Feels good in the hands and is light enough to wheeled over your head in those tight spaces. Do yourself a favor and get the 78208 kit with the jaws and rings. You'll need the rings for those between the joist obstructions. So far I have had no problems with anything about this tool. The app works, and everything else seems to be of high quality construction. Words of caution sometimes the jaws will get stuck on a press and while fiddling about trying to free them you can accidentally bump the trigger. Watch for pinch points.

Ridgid Propress Repair Went Great!

I was surprised to receive my Ridgid propress tool back after repairs in such a timely fashion. It works great again and looks good. I have 6 Ridgid propress tools and will definitely use the factory Ridgid services over third party companies. 5-Stars!!

Great compact upgrade

Great tool. Sold a large Dewalt tool and bought this one instead. It's really easy to use one handed and has already saved me a lot of hassle by fitting into tight spaces. Well built, quality Ridgid product. Case is nicely compact too compared to some cases that take up more space than necessary. Definitely recommend.
