The roof rack cargo carrier was well build, (gauge of steel, paint and welds). It was easy to put together and intuitively obvious as to assembly of the front, back and two middle pieces. The carrier bag, net straps and lock were all considered to be top quality. Overall I really liked this carrier set. My complaint was with installation to my Toyota Sienna minivan roof rack. The rails on my minivan were fixed in place at a specific distance and were not equal width front to back. They were also curved for aerodynamics and fuel efficiency, which caused problems when attaching the carrier set to my vehicle. The cargo carrier would not fix at the outer of my roof rack as it rested on the apex of the roof rails. If I put the carrier set forward to miss the front rail and set better, then it would be setting on the back rail in an unsteady manner. If I moved the carrier set further to the back then it would be setting on the front rail in an unsteady manner. Even though I tried to fasten the carrier as best as I could at the edges of my rail without damaging my minivan roof rack the system would vibrate and the straps would create excess wind noise at highway speeds. I tried to use rubber inserts at the edges of my roof rack to isolate the vibrations somewhat to make the carrier more stable on my minivan but with limited success on the wind noise from the straps.
