Fantastic Automatic Pedal Curing Iron

Okay Ladies, This is a fantastic rotating curling iron!!! I have been wanting to try one of these Automatic Pedal Curing Irons for a while now but was concerned because I have very very long hair. It works beautifully and did not tangle my hair at all! A must buy item, so easy...I love the color and the adjustable temperature and time too! Love Love Love

Let's Get Curling!

I have really thick hair, a lot of hair, it's pin straight, tons of volume and it's down to the base of my back, this worked wonders! It took me about 20 minutes to get used to it and understand how it worked I didn't read the directions in fact I didn't even look for directions. At first I tried very thin portions because my hair is extremely thick and that's usually how I have to curl my hair with very thin portions but I found that I could use really thick portions and it curled perfectly. after I experimented for the first 20 minutes it probably took me about 20 to 30 minutes to do my whole head and I have a lot of hair. so it cut my normal curling time down by about 20-25 minutes. I love these curls! This made it so easy to curl my hair, I am so happy! I Can Only Imagine how it would work on thin short hair or even thin long hair probably works better and you don't have to hold it so long. I had to hold it longer than the 15 seconds because of how thick my hair is but I probably only held it about 20 to 30 seconds at the highest setting for each curl. I love how it has a timer on it too and you can adjust the timing. it beeps when it's ready to let go of the curl on some of the thinner sections that I did I did it to the 15 second timer and it turned out perfectly. but when I was doing thicker portions I had to do it about 20 to 30 seconds.

Pretty curls but my arm took a vacation

I bought this RACCOMB rotating curling iron because I have zero coordination when it comes to using a traditional wand. I always end up with burns on my fingers or weird kinks in my hair. The idea of an automatic rotating barrel that does the wrapping for me sounded like exactly what my clumsy self needed. The first thing I noticed when I unboxed it is that the barrel has these petal-shaped sections that open and close. It looks almost like a flower bud. The whole thing is lightweight but doesn't feel cheap. The cord swivels at the base which helped a lot when I was moving around my bathroom mirror. Using it took a few tries to figure out. You take a small section of hair, place it between the open petals, and press the button. The barrel rotates and pulls the hair in while wrapping it around the heated surface. It beeps when it's done and you pull the iron away and the curl drops out. The first curl I made was perfect. The next three were tangled messes because I used too much hair. You really have to use tiny sections, like one inch wide at most. The curls themselves came out bouncy and uniform, more like wand curls than barrel curls. They held for about six hours in my straight fine hair with a little hairspray. The heat settings go from low to high and I used the medium setting around 365 degrees. Here's what I don't love. The rotating mechanism is loud. It makes a grinding-whirring sound that my dog did not appreciate. Also, cleaning hair out of the petals is tricky. A few loose strands got stuck inside and I had to use tweezers to fish them out. I'm hoping the motor holds up over time. Anything with moving parts like this can fail after a few months of regular use. So far after two weeks and maybe ten uses, it's still spinning fine. Good for anyone who struggles with normal curling irons. Bad for anyone with thick hair or zero patience for small sections. Spins like a dream, sounds like a tiny power tool
