Philips Light Alarm Clock w Sunrise Simulation Night Light, White (HF3510)

I bought the wake-up lamp after the new year hoping to improve my mornings.I got the idea from the fact that the only time I wake up bright and early and restful is when I am camping.No alarm, just the awaking sounds of birds and the gradually increasing light.The theory sounded good, so after pursuing several models I settled on the Philips HF3510, White.I chose this model because I liked the way it looked and the fact that is had several "alarm" options, the light is bright enough to be used as a regular lamp, and it had the "sunset" option.It also has the FM radio.After two weeks of use I can't imagine ever going back to a normal alarm clock.I wake up gradually and I feel fantastic (granted getting enough sleep is also important).No more being jarred out of sound sleep and I even can pull myself out of bed to do some yoga before work.Major improvement.This wakeup light provides you with a lot of settings so it may take a few days to get the alarm "just right".From the sound you want to the brightness of the light when the sounds emits.I setup a backup alarm the first few days and didn't need it.Though I had to change the light setting to be a little brighter.The radio is nice but haven't used that much.Sounds like a normal clock radio (can be used in place of the nature sounds for your wakeup).The light has 20 settings and is very bright at it's highest.More than bright enough to read by.The time text itself has an adjustable brightness as well.The buttons on the alarm are around the edge of the light.Once you get use to them they're pretty easy to handle.Overall I am very happy with this product.I am not usually moved to write reviews (this actually my first one), but I had to comment on how this has made mornings so much more pleasant.

This alarm/light/radio is my favorite purchase in years. I regularly have to be up before the sun and this thing completely changed my attitude waking up on those days. The might does little for me on days that I wake up after sunrise but the alarm ring options are peaceful and a pleasure to wake up to. The adjustable display is fantastic. The audio quality is good. Radio reception is good. I like the design and form factor. I bought it on sale but feel it's worth the but at retail. If you are looking at one of the versions of this alarm go for it! Sale price came around thanksgiving so I bought the next higher model than I otherwise would have.
