This rug falls into the medium pile category, so it's not overly thick or hefty. I'd suggest investing in a rug pad like Mohawk Home or a similar option to add some extra cushioning. It does take about a week to settle completely flat after being laid out.

Yes, it's thin, but it's also very affordable, so I can't complain. The colors are fantastic, and I'm pleasantly surprised by how soft it is. It flattened out in a couple of days with some books weighing down the edges. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Considering the price, the quality pleasantly surprised me! While the design and color weren't an exact match to what I expected – a tad more faded than depicted – it's still a lovely choice for a novice rug. The size (5'3x7'7) is an ideal fit for our generously sized living room. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this purchase!
