Placement: Choose a designated area in your home for the doggy training pad. This could be a space with easy access for your dog, preferably away from their sleeping or eating areas. Unfold and Secure: Open the training pad and unfold it fully. Secure it to the floor using adhesive tabs or non-slip backing to prevent movement during use. Introduce to Your Dog: Encourage your dog to become familiar with the training pad. Gently lead them to the pad and let them sniff it. Positive reinforcement like treats or praise can help them associate the pad with a positive experience. Observation: Watch for signs that your dog needs to relieve themselves, such as sniffing around, circling, or restlessness. Place them on the training pad if you notice these signs. Prompt Usage: When you see your dog showing signs of needing to go, guide them to the training pad with a command like "Go potty" or another chosen phrase. Praise and Reward: When your dog uses the training pad correctly, praise them and offer treats as a reward. Positive reinforcement helps reinforce the desired behavior. Clean-Up: After your dog uses the pad, promptly clean up solid waste and replace the soiled pad with a fresh one. Dispose of waste properly and securely close the used pad. Gradual Transition: As your dog becomes accustomed to using the training pad, you can gradually move it closer to the desired outdoor potty area if you're aiming to transition them to outdoor potty training. Consistency: Be consistent in your training routine. Stick to the same spot for the pad, similar cues, and timing each day. Outdoor Training: If your goal is outdoor potty training, gradually reduce the number of indoor training pads and reinforce outdoor training. Celebrate their successes outdoors with extra praise and treats. Patience: Be patient with your dog's learning process. Accidents might happen, but consistent training will help them understand the desired behavior. Transitioning Away: Once your dog is reliably trained, you can gradually reduce or eliminate the use of training pads.

The pricing is comparable to other brands that are only 22" X 22". These are 22" X 23" and the very slight 1" additional size does make a difference. We have been using an excessive number of pads since our old 70 lb. dog has lost bladder and bowel control.
