Edi (Polish) (Widescreen)

A winner of many awards at international film festivals and the Polish submission to the 2002 Academy Awardsￃﾂ(R), Edi is a touching and highly involving portrait of magical characters who manage to confront their misery and - at least briefly - somehow triumph over it. The film tells a story of two scrap metal pickers - Edi and his friend Jureczek. A dreamer and a lover of books, Edi is falsely accused by some local thugs of raping their sister. This leads to both tragedy and joy for Edi who is made to take care of her little baby.
