Due to the pandemic, I like many others unexpectedly found myself working from home. I did not have a dedicated home office space since I was not originally hired for a work from home job. At that time it was neither financially feasible or physically possible for me to go out shopping for office furniture, so I chose to repurpose ones that I already had. I painted an old desk that I had with glossy black enamel lacquer paint and updated its brass hardware with brushed nickel hardware that had the modern minimalistic aesthetic look that I wanted. I also had an older rolling office chair that had peeling black faux leather covering both of its cushions. It desperately needed an update but since sewing is not my forte, I wasn't sure how to do it until I found this chair cover. This is a parsons chair cover but I purchased it hoping that the fabric might have enough stretch in it to cover my office chair. It is a bit tight in places but still works perfectly and I absolutely love the pop of color it brings to my office.
