easy to DIY

I appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into professional framing, but if you're on a tight budget and own a craft blade/utility knife and ruler: save $ by framing things yourself- a matte board makes all the difference. These are well hidden @ my store- slid in vertically at the end of an aisle- and you have to pull about 5 out before you'll find one that doesn't have a badly beaten corner or two. And make sure to be gentle with it on the way home. Remember: the outer edges are the part you'll be using.
