it's impossible to find good cotton shorts for women. I gave these a try and love them. there's just a tiny bit of spandex. so they have a little stretch. but are still cool for the summer. I'm in between women's size L and XL. the XL usually have extra room for hips and belly that I don't need. so they look sloppy on me. so men's shorts often fit me better. I bought an XL pair thinking they would shrink but they didn't. they were much bigger than the size L. the Large fit perfectly. deep pockets. elastic waist band has decent stretch. very comfortable. fabric is a nice thickness. they feel sturdy. but not rough. I bought another pair in a different color. my friend liked them so much that she bought a pair for work. she can dress them up a little with a nice, black tank top. the inseam is the perfect length for us at 5ft and 5ft 2. longer, but not too long.

Just made for my active grandson. And my gifting budget. He loves the low -key style and comfortable fabric.
