I love all the rice a roni pasta meals. I always brown the rice in some butter as they suggest because browning it cha ranges the taste. You can however eat it just by adding it to water or chicken broth as well it's a great side dish or you can just eat it as a full meal by adding fully baked chicken (breast) chopped to your size and taste with some garlic bread and a side salad

Great dish additive

This is a easy to fix up side dish or main selection for a dinner meal. Butter , Brown, and Water, and simmer, and you got good meal worthy rice with amazing flavor. I fix this with fried chicken, chicken strips, baked chicken, and it gives that little extra a meal can use. 2 boxes serves my family of 4 with extra left in the pan.

I love rice-a-roni. I have been eating it since it first came out in Texas in the sixties, back then It was considered very wild and very unusual as our palate had less than 50 regular items. I fell in love with the risque box of forbidden delights. I still love it. However , the beef is my favorite. "Rice-a-Roni" the San Francisco treat! Buy it. :-)
