Durable, workable

I have a chain link fence that goes almost to the grass. My back gets mad at me when I weed whack. I thought of putting a strip of rubber under the fence, extended 3 inches onto the lawn (so i could roll the mower over it) and securing it with lawn fabric staples. But, rubber would block air, retain moisture and generate mold. So, that was out. I decided upon this. It is metal (non-porous), ridged (allows air in which eliminates moisture) and is wonderfully durable (yet flexible enough to work with). I drilled holes for the staples. I placed 1 on each side of each end, 1 inch in. And 1 staple every foot in the center. It is perfect. I cut it with wire cutters and gently sanded the edges, so no animals get hurt. I put a shot of spray paint on exposed silver staples. It looks nice. I never have to weed whack again!

I absolutely love it, so i purchased 3 more to go completely around the front of the house, 1 side of the house, and 1 to go around the huge oak tree in front of the house !!!
