Just what I was looking for.

I was quite delighted by this purchase. It was larger than expected. There is some confusion on the listing for this item. In the 'header', it says that will accommodate TV up to 32", but the 'text' says that it fits 41'-50" TV's. I have a 40' HDTV,so I was concerned about this' but ordered it anyway. When I received it was in a fairly large, so my expectations were high. I opened it in the store. What I saw was a very nice quality it. It came fully assembled, and I saw that it had two out bored roller supports to distribute the weight over the full platform Very well engineered). It turned out to be perfect for my use. It swivels very smoothly, and had no problem handling the weight of the HDTV, and because it has a large platform, it also accommodated my DVD player. I am very pleased with this item, and would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a swivel stand

Better Than A Wall Mount.

A TV Svivel may be just the answer you need to view your TV from more than a single room. It allows us to swivel the TV which is on a low bookcase to view the TV from the Kitchen and the Dining area. We cal save the wall space where a wall mount would be. It's also a cheaper solution with the wall mount costing twice as much as a swivel.
