The best for preventing water coming into house.

My house is on the outskirts of a floodplain, so I am keeping these bags on hand in case of extra heavy rains. Haven't had to use them so far, but they seem heavy duty and strong. The inexpensive sand filling came from a local building supplies company, after I checked the very high price at Lowes.

I had four 60 lb sand tubes that I had spilled oil on and couldn't use. I wanted to save the sand inside rather than buy new tubes. These sacks worked beautifully. While only rated to hold 50 lbs, there was plenty of room in a sack for the full 60 lbs! They tie easily and stand up nicely at the tail end of my truck (weight for driving on snow). I'm generally a believer in "you get what you paid for," but for about a dollar a sack, I got better than I paid for.

Ok, honestly, I have no need for the bags. I live on the coast Gulf Coast of América (Sarasota, Florida area). My place can't flood. He has a canopy tent... I filled the bags, no problem. Now, he's able to have piece of mind: -I didn't let him know my actual motive -Simple too fill -Solid, reusable I'd use these in a heart beat
