We needed something to drain the water off our winter cover after it rains or after a snow that melts. We didn't really want to invest in a pump so I thought I'd give this siphon a try. It works great! It takes a little time to drain the water but that's no problem. Just get it started and go back later to remove it. Glad I gave it a try!

Works good, but there was a lot of sand in the box when it arrived. Maybe a little better packing might help with a rough delivery driver. I presume there was sand inside the unit to weigh it down. didn't see any physical damage to the unit and it worked perfectly.

Wow, item is bigger %26 heavier than I thought. Box from a pool company. No instructions received, so I googled it. Put it on top of the pool cover, pumped it twice, and it immediately began working. Pumped about 3 inches of water in reasonable amount of time. I checked it twice, no issues. Very happy with this purchase so far. If it gets me thru 1 season, I will buy another.
