Never would have imagined how much moisture we had
We have had this for a month now and are completely pleased with it. We run it on the high setting. It ran continuously for a day or two until our humidity leveled out to 50 percent. The readout tells the current humidity level in the room, and you can adjust it to the number you want. It turns itself on and off to maintain the level we chose. We empty the water bin at 6 both morning and night, and the unit will cut itself off if ever the water bin is full. Sometimes it's practically full, sometimes maybe a third full. Now, granted, it is summertime. Will be interesting to see how humidity levels out in the cooler weather. The unit is on wheels, which makes moving it to other rooms a cinch. The water collection chamber pulls out very easily when time to empty. There"s a handle on it to aid in carrying it to the sink to empty. Putting it back in is just a matter of sliding it back in to the opening. Not difficult at all. The sound is a bit louder than a fan when running, and yes I can hear it from another room when it cuts on at night, but it is a "white noise" type of sound that doesn't bother me. The lights on top aren't glaringly bright, just green dots to indicate that it is on and the speed setting, and the green lit-up number of the room humidity. One thing I will mention - the unit needs to stay right side up. When removing the box, it is packed exceedingly well with styrofoam at the base to protect it. Lifting it out of the box just wasn't gonna happen for me, although I tried. I wound up cutting the box down the side and moving the cardboard out of the way. Save your back and try that! Yes, we highly recommend this unit.

After a prior frigidaire dehumidifier stopped working properly, and researching several competitors' dehumidifiers, I gave frigidaire another try. I am so happy I did. This dehumidifier has a high capacity reservoir, does a fantastic job at removing humidity in my basement, and does so without a lot of noise. Very happy with this product to this point. I have been using this dehumidifier for nearly a month. Hopeful this frigidaire will last longer than the previous one (2 years).
