OK as far as stock mounts go..

It will do the job..but be aware of two things. It will move around on the buttstock some unless you make 'some' effort to deminish this tendency. On some semi-auto guns, such as a 'inertia' operated Benelli, any change in the weight of the gun can cause problems cycling with light loads. This is best addressed by asking a well experienced shooter. IF one really needs a shell holder, you might also look at a metal one mounted to the receiver. In my case, this buttstock mount does the job well enough to suit me. As usual...your mileage may vary.
