Great wok for intro to Chinese cuisine!
I used this wok to make a delicious stir fry dish today - shrimp with mixed vegetables! It came out so tasty and heated up nicely without burning my food. Highly recommend for any beginner Asian chef who isn't brave enough to deal with the chance of burning your food from a regular wok!
Had to read instructions but it works like a charm
So. I have always wanted one of these but just never did get one until now! I was super excited to use it so I thought before I started I should probably read the directions, good thing I did because there is a little preseason internet necessities. I read over the directions and got the pan prepped for the first time to use and voila. Works like a charm. I did a pretest with some marinated salmon. I just have to say my salmon has NEVER turned out so moist. Next time we use it we are going to mix up some greens with some chicken. Love that I got this to add to our collection of adulting pans. Your know when you are an adult when purchases like this are you exciting. I would recommend this product to anybody who loves to enjoy food! Let your taste buds be enthused…
Great Wok!
The 11inch Tasty brand aluminum wok stir fry pan is the the best wok we have ever used! The pan heats evenly and quickly and food does not stick in the pan. The heat travels up the side of the pan so it cooks evenly all around. The wok is heavier than a pure aluminum electric pan but it is still a comfortable or manageable weight for most cooks. We had a 12 inch glass lid from another pan that fit just right so we covered our vegetables when cooking them. The wok has a non stick surface that is bonded to the cast aluminum body and the wok is very sturdy. The handle is solid and has a nice grip too. We have cooked several items in the wok such as: vegetables, scallops, shrimp, chicken, rice, etc and have had great results with all dishes. We highly recommend the Tasty brand wok.
