Evening Primrose Oil 1000mg Evening Primrose oil is unique because it is one of the few oils that contains abundant amounts of Gamma Linolenic Acid, an omega-6 essential fatty acid, vital to health. These essential fatty acids are needed to form important prostaglandins, particularly PGE1, that maintain and regulate vital body functions. To fully benefit from Evening Primrose Oil, the body also needs zinc, magnesium vitamin C, and vitamins B3 and B6, nutrients that are co-factors needed for the conversion of gamma linolenic acid to PGE1, the prostaglandin with many health benefits. Natural Factors Evening Primrose Oil comes from Australia and is often used with success by women experiencing PMS. However, men and women with a wide variety of ailments - cardiovascular issues, respiratory problems, eczema and other skin problems (including teenagers with acne) - may benefit from EPO. Vitamin E is added to enhance long term freshness.
