Nice piece

I can't recommend or not recommend the lamp. It will depend on the lamp you receive. Pros: It's pretty, it's unique, it's a nice size, and the price was decent. Cons: Though the price was decent, you shouldn't have to do the work that was involved in order to use it. The shade has a small dent, which is very annoying. I couldn't put it together without getting pliers to make things fit. The shade sits a bit crooked. You need to play with it to find a decent side and without the seam. It is very difficult to turn and and off! The switch is in a normal place at the base of the bulb. Because the shade is so long, you have to bend and twist your wrist to get up under the lamp in order to turn it on and off. A switch on the cord would have been much better. I may have that done someday. Neither pro nor cons just info: The lamp takes a 3-way bulb no higher than 100. The color of light that shines through the shade is golden even though the shade is white. The cord is long, so you'll have plenty of room should you need it. The lamp looks nice in any style room. Overall, I like the lamp. I like its uniqueness. For the price, the quality isn't there. It's not worth the trouble of trying to take it apart, pack it back up, and drive to return it. Fortunately, it's a decorative lamp and won't be used much.
