The taste is surprisingly good, not what I expected. It works quite well; it was recommended by my periodontist. It's very hard to find, however. Maybe that's why it's so pricey. Walmart was the only place that had it! It works very well on sensitive gums, and post periodontal surgery. I was used to Arm and Hammer toothpaste which has a very strong taste (which I love) I was very pleasantly surprised with the taste of this toothpaste.
