The white colored areas turn transparent once wet, but the darker colored area stays opaque. See photo of my fingers showing through the wet shirt. That's my only complaint but I still love this shirt. It's beautiful, well stitched, n vibrant colors. Most shades of blue will look amazing with this marble pattern swimshirt. I paired the lovely marbled top with Caribbean blue water colored swim pants, navy blue sunglasses, black n blue water shoes, n canvas tote bag for a fun day at the waterpark. It's credentialed to be UPF 50, see tags in photo. It's very long on me (5'4") it covers my hips. I like the long arms because it adds more coverage to my hands. It is as advertised in the summer of 2024
