Good Quality
Living up to expectations. Very thick. Smooth rolling. I do see what some people mentioned online, that the "teeth" are short and stubby, but I anchor it under the desk and against the wall so it hasn't moved. Comes with lifetime warranty. Check brand-name website.
Different color and poor cut
I was buying this 46x60 Deflecto ExecuMat for High Pile Carpet to match my existing 60x60 Deflecto ExecuMat for High Pile Carpet (CM17743) that I bought from a retailer that no longer exists. This one is not as good. They both move around on the carpet, so they are equal on that level. Here are the issues that I noticed: 1) Different color. The new one is transparent blue and my old one was more of a foggy clear color. This isn't bad, but it doesn't match my original, which I expected since I made sure to buy the same brand (Deflecto) and model (ExecuMat), only the dimensions were different. You can see the difference in my attached pictures. It is possible that using newer and safer materials could account for the color change as my original 60x60 mat is from 2007 (11 years ago, at the time of this review). 2) The bevel cut is poor. This is for my home office and at home I don't wear shoes. Catching my foot on sharp edges isn't enjoyable. There are two parts to the poor cut: a) Where the beveled edge meets the top of the mat, theres a 90 degree sharp edge that is likened to an ice skate blade but not as thick, although still sharp when your foot slides across it. My old mat has a very smooth transition compared to this one, so catching my foot on the old one was never a thing. b) The smoothness (or lack thereof) of the bevel cut. This catches your sock when you walk on it due to the jagged cut. This also makes it harder to clean as any cloth will get caught in the roughness of the cut. I had considered that this was a knock-off product as the price was better than other retailers at this time but I'll never know if that's the case or not. If it is, then this review might not be helpful if you buy the mat elsewhere. My original mat from 11 years ago wasn't shipped in a box, it was just a big heavy mat with no protection and it had a good cut and no scuff marks. This new mat came rolled up in a box, so I can't blame the shipper for scuffing up the beveled edge of the mat, I believe it came from the factory like this. I have included pictures to show you the color difference and poor cut that I mentioned.
