Not-so-new products

I made this purchase for a new product as stated in their ad on this shopping platform. It arrived /delivered in a box that was in great shape. Upon removing the item from the box I found it stuck to my hands - the item was cut open previously and taped back together - it had been wrapped in so much tape and a lot of the tape had been taken off but the stickiness was still all over the package. What’s most concerning here is that the seller would choose to put this item in a box sold at full price to sell to somebody under these pretenses. The items themselves look used and definitely not in brand new condition.
