Bazooka Bt1214 Bt Series Passive Tube [12", 4_]

Great sound - terrible quality control. Arrived damaged. Product returned and I went with an Alpine 12-inch bass tube instead, which sounds just as good (if not better) and has much better build quality. I really wanted to keep this Bazooka and I really wanted to love it, but that just wasn't in the cards. Several other online reviews spoke of quality issues with this item and I dismissed them thinking the reviewers had just been unlucky and surely I'd get a good one. This bass tube arrive damaged in two different places - the rubber seal was completely separated from the front of the port. It seemed like the adhesive used at the factory to attach the rubber was not sufficient to hold. Also, there was a crack in the back of the tube that caused both cosmetic and performance issues. The speaker attachment ports were not damaged but were further evidence of poor build quality. They were flimsy and very difficult to operate with poor threading. Out of all of the audio equipment I have seen in my life, I have never seen speaker wire connectors so poorly built. It's too bad this thing is so cheap and flimsy and damaged because it did seem like it would have sounded very good.
