Yummy, Easy Swedish Meatballs
You get two for one in this Swedish Meatballs seasoning and sauce mixes! There are two pouches connected that have the sauce mix in one side and the seasoning mix in the other side of pouch. Again there are no MSG or artificial flavors with this McCormick mix. Prep time for this dish is 10 minutes and cook time is 15 minutes, making 6 servings.You will need1 lb ground beef, water, oil, and 2 cups of milk. If you want noodles to pour the mixture over, I suggest the thin spiral noodles or you may use rice too. Cut pouch one open first, pouring into a bowl. Next cut the 2nd pouch, the seasoning mix and pour into a large bowl. Add the beef and water and shape into 1 1/2 inch meatballs, cook these balls over medium heat about 8-10 minutes so they are completely cooked through. Take them out and drain on paper towels. Stir in the milk into the skillet, stirring frequently.Once the sauce starts boiling, reduce the heat and simmer one minute. Add meatballs in sauce to warm thoroughly and then serve over the cooked noodles or rice. It seems like a lot of complicated steps, but it is easy enough and needs to be stirred constantly. I love this dish! So, so good and filling!
Swedish Meatballs Seasoning
McCormick makes preparing Swedish meatballs easy, with separate meatball seasoning mix and sauce mix. easy to follow instructions: Mix Seasoning Mix and water in large bowl. Add ground beef; mix well. Shape into 1 1/2-inch meatballs. Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add meatballs; cook 8 minutes or until cooked through, turning frequently. Remove meatballs; drain fat. Stir milk and Sauce Mix into skillet. Stirring frequently, simmer on medium heat until sauce comes to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute or until thickened. Add meatballs to sauce; cook until heated through. Serve over cooked noodles or rice I followed and they turned out tasty!1st time making them and I had no issues,will def try this flavor packet again.
Great Taste
The McCormick’s Beef: Swedish Meatballs Seasoning & Sauce Mix was very tasty. I added the sauce packet to a pound of ground turkey for meatballs for my pan of spaghetti I was making for my family. Everyone enjoyed the taste of the meatballs. I am not sure if the sauce made the meatballs tender, but they were very tender (which doesn’t usually happen). Therefore I will be using this sauce again. It is easily to use, just open the package and add it to the meat. I added some parsley and that’s it. I did not add salt and pepper. I really enjoy McCormick’s sauces and highly recommend it.
