DVD/VCR PLAYER

We had one exactly like this one. The DVD part stopped working. We had it for a long time. Senior citizens do a whole lot better with electronics they have previously owned. Very sad to know this type of player will no longer be made. VHS tapes are a thing of the past! :( Very simple step by step instructions should be given for seniors to understand how to hook up and play a new device. I saw 100 different languages (well maybe not that many) :) with instructions on how to operate. Wish one said "For Senior Citizens".

Quality at a reasonable price

I purchased this unit because I have several movies on VHS I haven't gotten around to replacing with DVD/BluRay. Set up of the unit is simple and straight forward. RCA cables, included in the box, connect the unit to your TV. Insert a VHS and off it goes. The unit has auto rewind and auto eject after the tape is rewound. The remote is straight forward as well. I haven't used the DVD yet, however, I believe it will function as well as the VHS. Make note....this unit will NOT copy a VHS to a DVD, however, the DVD does have "in-line" record capabilities. It requires a coax cable connection to accomplish this task. In as much as I don;t have cable I am not able to report on the DVD's recording efficiency or clarity. But, for the price, how can you go wrong?

Awesome!

I purchased this Sanyo model since I needed another dvd player plus a VHS player since I have old VHS tapes that I haven't been able to play and the dvd player I had was moved to the basement tv. This was the best purchase that I made. The combination of both players makes it easy to play a tape and then a dvd if that is what I wish to do. Both did the job I expected and I am happy to say that I am very satisfied. Excellent imagery for both. Picture is clear, quality is excellent.
