Pretty good

I'm actually using this as my work-from-home chair (I didn't want anything with wheels because those would slide around too much on my hardwood floor; and there actually are little pads under the bottom wood sections here). The comfort is just fine, seat is perfectly comfortable (at least as much as your standard office chair, probably more). The rocking isn't perfectly smooth but smooth enough. Slight clicking sound when rocking back and forth (possibly instantly fixable with tightening or loosening a bolt), seems to be lessening over time in any case, not a big deal at all so I haven't even tried to fix it. I saw one review that said they got the wrong sized bolt for the back when it arrived. I doubt that was actually what their problem was because I can see how they would've been mistaken easily. The actual problem seems to be getting the hole aligned properly and connected properly to the bolt (i.e. getting the back and seat of the chair fully close together and properly aligned). It helps to first loosen the bottom bolts as much as possible (without causing a disconnection of the seat) before attempting it so there's maximum wiggle room for when you're trying to get the holes to match up right, but even then, it took me over an hour to shove the parts close enough together for the bolt to be not be crooked or at a distance when connecting the seat with the back. (Might help to have an additional person to shove the parts together while you screw it in, or at least try using a wall etc) There are 2 other areas where the seat connects to the back so don't worry, the bolt isn't the only place. Anyway once I got things lining up right with that bolt it did screw in and was plenty long enough, it just needed lots of convincing to get to that point. Incidentally, I'm keeping a blanket over this chair so that I don't have to worry about cleaning so much; I can imagine that if any moisture got on it especially, it would kind of stay there for a while, causing a mold concern. Anyway the assembled product is what I hoped it would be, no more and no less. Any tiny issues with the assembled product would be so minor that you'd have to be really looking hard for them to be able to complain, but you wouldn't notice them at all if you were sitting on the chair as a guest in someone's home.

Cute and comfy

The chair get 5 stars. We had to drop our rating to 4 because of the hassles with assembly. The chair is cute, comfy, and the color is true to the picture. I love the very soft cloth material, feels like a bath mat or towel. It has a natural recline to it and a gentle rock. Doesn't make any loud squeaking, but occasionally a subtle click (I barely notice it). One of the best features of this chair is the high back. At 5 ft 6, my head comes up only about an inch over the back. Very comfortable to lean back in and get some back and head support. Also, the pillow at the headrest is semi-attached. It won't come off, but if you find it too much, you can drape it over the back to get it out the way. The chair sits up pretty high and the seat is a little firm. I probably wouldn't lounge in it for hours, but overall I still find it comfortable. Now for the assembly issues. There are two different size screws, but they were all labeled the same. We received the correct amount and type, but because of the mislabeling, this set us back a few minutes in assembling. The pre-drilled holes were aligned nicely, but there were two holes on the underside of the chair that weren't accessible because they were covered, so we had to cut through the mesh to get to them. Fairly easy fixes. The real hassle came when we attempted to connect the back to the seat with the bolt provided. IT WASN'T LONG ENOUGH. No matter how many times we realigned and repositioned the cushions, the bolt just could not reach the hole, and thus couldn't tighten. A couple bucks at the local Ace hardware, and we got a replacement at the correct size. If you receive a bolt that's 2 1/2 inches in length like we did, don't waste your time. You'll need at least another half an inch.
