HP 15", Intel Core i3-1115, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Silver, Windows 11, 15-dy2791wm

I was a little worried that, with a new laptop, it'd slow me down, having to learn this and that all over again. Instead, I was glad to find that everything about this laptop has been quick, easy, and fast to get used to. First, it starts up very quickly. Next, this Windows laptop came in "S Mode," so I had to opt-out to turn it into a regular Windows machine. I actually only had to answer two questions and wait a couple minutes and I was done. Now I could load whatever programs I needed. The performance of the laptop has been really solid for me. There's no hold-ups or buffering or waiting around for things to load. It even charges up quickly and I can go from nothing to about halfway in less than an hour. The sound works well, too (in stereo). It's quite thin and is easy for me to carry since it is so light. More importantly, though, is how comfortable and easy to use the keyboard and touchpad are. I sat down and started typing, the first time and I just got focused on my work and I was adjusted to it and comfortable in minutes. Now that I am working from home, it seems like video conferencing is one of the most important computer functions for me. With my family often home while I'm working, I frequently need to be able to move the laptop to another room to chat. Also, with the dual microphone system -- which seems to mainly pick up audio spoken directly at the center of the laptop -- noise is no longer a problem during video conferencing. The video quality is good, too, even in less-than-perfect lighting.

I have a pc, a smartphone and a tablet and decided it was time for a laptop. I ordered the HP 15.6 i3 8GB/256GB laptop in silver and now I understand why everyone has a laptop. The HP 15-dy1031wm is so slim and lightweight and I was able to set it up easily by syncing it with my other PC on my home's wi-fi network. The connection speed is amazing! I have to access a wi-fi router through a cinderblock wall when I am on the patio and the HP 15-dy1031wm connects fast and keeeps a strong connection. There are many apps included with the HP 15-dy1031wm and it makes the transition from using my pc at home and at the office to using the laptop virtually seamless. It was simple to set up and use right out of the box. I had to allow the laptop to do numerous updates over the first few days, but it was up to speed in no time. The built-in camera and video camera create decent video and photo images, but not great (I expect little from a built-in camera so that isn't a big issue). The audio quality using the built-in microphone is somewhat sensitive to background noise and you must speak rather loudly. Overall I am really pleased with the speed, storage capacity and flexibility of the HP15-dy1031wm laptop. Oh and the silver finish is beautiful!
