Sturdy yet needs breaking in

The sole of this sandal is very sturdy yet it takes time to break in. The straps are very wide, and gave me blisters. Added moleskin yo help prevent chafing. I can see why it was marked down, yet I'm keeping as I like the look and believe with time, they could be a great sandal.
