This Sunbeam Quilted Electric Heated Mattress Pad is just the thing to warm you up on cold winter nights. This comfortable warming pad is perfect for getting rid of the chills. The Controller has 10 heat settings and 10 hour auto off, allowing you to get just the right temperature and allows you to turn down your thermostat to save energy and money. The therapeutic heat settings can be controlled so you stay comfy whether sleeping in or just relaxing. The Mattress pad warms up fast and is efficient in keeping you comforted. Do not cover or wrap the controller and make sure both items are in a well ventilated area when in use. Skirt fits up to 18” mattresses. Overheat protection promotes a safe user experience. Reference included safety instructions before use to ensure safe operation. Air dry or tumble dry on low heat, wash alone, do not bleach and do not iron. IMPORTANT - NOT for infants, children, incapacitated person or animals and pets.

Better than a heated blanket
With the heat coming from underneath very little is lost. This one has 10 different settings though I have never gone higher than the 5th setting. I usually keep it on 2 or 3 and this is in a room where the night time temperature gets below 50 degrees. It is important that you use a fairly think piece of bedding material over this bad because if all you have is a sheet over it you will feel the wiring.

If you're in the market for an electric blanket... buy this instead... I live in an old house with no central heat and use electric radiators to heat my home. I do like sleeping in a chilly room but not a chilly bed, hence; I have always used an electric blanket. Last year I adopted a shelter kitty..he likes the bed and gets under the covers.. no longer a very safe place for an electric blanket. My friend in NH told me about mattress warmers, I had never heard of them. I bought this one and slept with it for the first time last night.. I slept all night !!!! No more cold patches here and there under the blanket.. what a nice, even heat and I can trust this with kitty. I am SO happy to get the bulk of an electric blanket off me. I love this, I really do.
