I have had much more expensive can openers that didn't work half as good , this opens the can easily and smoothly I have even used the claw part to loosen a jelly jar lid and who knew but the square metal piece on the top even helped me wedge under and loosen a lid on a container of peanuts that I couldn't unscrew . I can highly recommend this product.

The Ferrari of lid cutting. For cans where I do not need the top, this cuts fast. If I had 20 cans to open THIS is the can opener my fingers and wrists would want me to use because it cuts easily. It's surprisingly easy to grip, especially compared to the standard model that is, I believe, designed to make opening a can a dangerous chore. Don't know how long it will last but at my rate of usage(little) and at my age(old), should, probably, last the rest of my life and still be usable. The construction appears to be solid(but have only opened a half-dozen or so cans so far). Did not expect it but sure am glad to be pleasantly surprised that some things still 'just work' without all the overpriced nonsense. Walmart Mainstays has a winner. ...goodness sakes don't change it.
