The animal bed is very fluffy and my pets sit on it. But not IN it because the top (dome) is not sturdy enough to stand up/open like the picture shows. It just flops down flat. If you had a curious cat, dog or otger pet who wanted to be hidden and completely covered then it's fine. I put my pets in it and they did not like that the top touched them.
