Riveting BBC period-drama RIPPER STREET returns for a second series, set in 1890, as the shadow of Jack the Ripper's brutal killing spree continues to fade. The streets of London's East End are anything but peaceful, however, with Detective Inspector Edmund Reid (Matthew Macfadyen) facing the wrath of the corrupt Inspector Jedediah Shine (Joseph Mawle), in addition to a dangerous new drug running rife in Chinatown. Once again it is up to Reid and his partners-in-fighting-crime, Detective Sergeant Bennet Drake (Jerome Flynn) and Captain Homer Jackson (Adam Rothenberg) to try to bring law to the lawless.
