This laxative (docusate) is a mild one. I had previously used enemas (effective, but only can be used once or twice in a week) and senna (too powerful, caused frequent cramping), so for my level of long-term (6 weeks) of use, this is the right strength - 1 a day.

Highly recommend if your medications causes you constipation. Been taking Senna for years. works great without the bad cramping that other laxatives can cause. I never had trouble with it not working after all the years I've had to take laxatives due to multiple bowel problems. still keeps working great for me.
