I have a large head, and off the shelf hats never fit (even the “XL” ones you find at target- they always press my head and give me a headache). I ordered this one in the XL size with fingers crossed, and not only did it fit my huge head, there was enough room that I could use the internal sizing band to tighten it up a bit! It came in a NICE box (not crushed or rolled) and it didn't need it, but I used the steam setting on my iron to smooth the brim even more %26 it was perfect. It also came with care instructions and sizing foam pads if I wanted to adjust the hat with those instead of the internal band/elastic. Very high quality hat. It's also just as large and nice as the photos. Very quality feel and look. I have wide shoulders and wore the hat for 2 days at a festival in 95 degree heat AND a humidity level in the 90's. The hat kept its shape the whole time, didn't go limp, or show sweat marks %26 the built on SPF50 of the hat kept me from getting sunburned (even when the sunscreen long had sweated off my face!). It was also wide enough that by tucking my arms in a bit at my sides that I was fully shaded by the brim on my arms %26 saved myself burnt arms! I was probably complemented 60 times on the hat at the festival and had dozens ask me where I got it. I will be looking at this brand in future when I need more hats.

Fits perfect and the brim is large enough to keep the sun off my face and neck. I like this hat!!
