A little on the thin side for a mattress but once i got it out of the box it is wonderful. It is firmer then i would have expected from a foam mattress

After waiting almost 2 weeks. The long rectangular box was in POOR condition - it was the right size, but torn and tattered with gaping holes that were poorly patched with walmart site-to-store tape. I was not sure if I wanted to keep it, but we did. The mattress was safely tucked inside the box. It was rolled tightly and in a plastic 'sleeve'. After taking the 'sleeve' off, the tightly shrink-wrapped mattress uncoiled and lay flat. After removing the shrink wrap, it began to swell. I was pleased with the soft cover (it has since been washed on gentle cycle and dried on low heat/cool setting ). Because of space constraints, we thought we would get a mattress that had an extra inch or so. We read other reviews that said the mattress did not go to the advertised height. They were RIGHT. We measured it several times after just removing it from package, later that day and the next day - (with cover on it was 5 1/2", but very close to 7" with cover off). We decided to keep it and try it. We like the: * price compared to other stores (bought online as a clearance item, HOWEVER, it went down $20 within a few weeks of receiving box ), *comfort (sleeps well for intended children and unintended parents), *the cover of the mattress.
