Unfortunate experience
The first fastener I tried to break loose was an 18mm nut on a suspension assembly. No cheater bar was used, just a hard pull - and the ratcheting mechanism failed. Subsequent reading on-line verified my suspicions that these wrenches are poor quality. Wish I had done that before purchasing them!
