I was surprised at how good this cornbread is. Being single it's easier to have these on hand instead of baking a pan. I freeze them in separate packages so I can have one with meals when I want. in addition to the usual dinner dishes, I have them for breakfast with sausage and egg

No one else makes cornbread this good in a store!

This is not the one with the nasty whole corn in it. This is the one made from cornmeal and we haven't been able to get it locally in Pasco, WA for over a year. They replaced it with the other whole corn filled Marketside one and no body will eat that. I am so glad it's back. It's like home made that they make in New England and down south where I lived while we were stationed in the Army. Both those places have the best home made cornbread and Walmart bakery does a great job on this one. Usually we like most Marketside products but it's a pass on their weird cornbread. Please keep this in stock at the Pasco WA Walmart!

Put two mini loaves in a zip bag and they thaw at room temperature in minutes. They are moist, have lots of flavor, and are perfect with soups or country dinners. Very affordable and is a great touch to gumbo. Freezes well and keeps the moist texture and ease of use. Has a hint of sweetness and not like some people think of corn muffins. I've been told it's like having cake. But,I dont feel the same and being from the south I know cornbread and this gets two thumbs up.
