Can't add toe cage

I purchased these pedals so I could use my spinning shoes, and also add toe cages so my kids could ride also. What a pain. The cages went on the wrong way and that was the only way, unless I disassembled the shoe clip assembly. No thanks. I kept the pedals w/ toe cage that came on my spinning bike. No hassle and they feel just fine w/ my sneakers. These are going back. Otherwise, I think they are just fine for the price.
